Summer Smooches from Stampin' Up!

My mother always told me that patience was a virtue but it is so hard to be patient when you're waiting to see the newest Stampin' Up catalog...we know it's going to be awesome when it gets here but June is still a couple of months away.

Stampin' Up! to the rescue!!  They are giving us a sneak peak of some of the new product AND giving us the opportunity to order it this month...April 1st to April 31st!  Here are a few of the projects I've made with some of the new Summer Smooches sneak peak products...

I absolutely LOVE this color combination in the Summer Smooches Designer Paper.  As soon as I saw it, I thought it would make the perfect get well card because it is so bright and cheery.

In fact, I love it so much, I decided to use the same combination to make a mini purse with the new Petite Purse die that is also a part of the Summer Smooches sneak peak.  (see below)

These little purses are the perfect size for a tube of chapstick, a few Hershey kisses, money or especially a little "diamond bling"!

And they are so simple to assemble...they only require two small pieces of Sticky Strip. Add a few embellishments and they are ready to go.

Tasty Turkey Treat

Last month I saw several Halloween witches made with the skinny cello bags.  I thought it would be fun to try making some turkeys using the same idea.  Here's what I came up with...

 

 

This little turkey is so fun to make.  If you want to try it, I used two different size Scallop Circle dies with the Big Shot to make the body.  I also used the Scallop Oval punch for the feathers, pieces cut from the small Scallop circle punch for the beak and feet, a piece cut from a heart punch for the "beard" and I created the hat free hand.  The legs were made by cutting a skinny cello bag in half and stuffed with Tootsie Rolls and the had was made using a Sweet Treat cup filled with M&M's.
